Isotachs 300 hPa:
Jet streak at 300 hPa is found right next to the Jet Fibre. The Fibre is slightly shifted forwards from the region of maximum wind, which corresponds nicely to the ideal configuration.
Shear Vorticity 300 hPa:
The zeroline of shear vorticity representing the jet axis is parallel to the Jet Fibre with the fibre being located on the anticyclonic side of the jet.
Vertical Motion (Omega):
The distribution of vertical motion is not correlated to the Jet Fibre but mainly to processes forming frontal clouds. The strongest upward motion is found in the left exit region of the jet streak where, in the satellite image, frontal intensification by jet crossing can be observed.
Relative Humidity 300 hPa:
Humidity maxima are found within the frontal zones. There is no distinct maxima in the region where Jet Fibres are located.
Relative Streams:
As expected in the ideal configuration, a rising relative stream (warm conveyor belt) with the limiting streamline on the jet axis can be seen in this case.
